7 Action Points To Help You Deal With Recurring Problems Your Words Have Supernatural Power The Negative Effects of Anger in Your Life A song with words to live by
First let me encourage you to not allow your circumstances to weigh you down. If God is in control of your life remember that all things, even your problems, will eventually work together for your good. He can turn them around if you trust Him.
If He brings you to it, He will bring you through it.
Sometimes He allows difficult circumstances in order to get us to go in a different direction -- one that is part of His plan for our lives.
Now, how do we go about identifying and solving these problems to change our circumstances and turn our failures into success --
Problems are difficult things to pinpoint and solve. You see the results clearly enough, but the causes are another matter altogether.
It's not going to simply go away. Your results aren't going to change unless you take steps to change them.
Intense analysis of the situation in order to eliminate it can be painful. Sometimes we know deep down that somehow, we are at fault but we don't want to admit to that, so we pretend the problem doesn't exist, and just keep trying one thing after another, hoping next time to succeed.
BUT -- You must deal with the root of the problem and make positive changes.
We tend to want to blame someone or something else for the negative things that keep happening to us -- our boss, our spouse, the economy -- but oftentimes, "the fault dear Brutus, lies.... in ourselves" (apologies to Shakespeare - Julius Caesar).
7 Action Points To Help You
Here are 7 steps to help you deal:
A careless word may kindle strife A cruel word may wreck a life A timely word may lessen stress A loving word may heal and bless -- Anon
Guarding your heart, mind and mouth is a major step toward coping with the recurring problems that keep you from succeeding. You have to stop talking about them. Stop talking about the negative recurring circumstances that seem to plague everything you try to do. Understand that the evil one will create circumstances in your life that hinder your success. He wants you to believe that you can't succeed. He wants you to be so convinced of that lie that you believe it. He wants it to take root in your heart and mind and grow and grow inside you like so many weeds in a garden -- so much so that pretty soon it comes out of your mouth. Now you have planted in your garden - and in your life - something that neither God nor you really want to grow. But the evil one knows... and you should know too... that...
Your Words Have Supernatural Power - You Get What You Say.
They carry the power of your belief. That power will reproduce in your life what you truly believe... and you truly believe what you say... what comes out of your mouth!...or you wouldn't be saying it. It's coming from your heart (mind). Remember, out of the heart (your deep-seated inner belief), the mouth speaks.
If you keep talking about your failures because you've tried and failed so many times, you will surely fail again. You see this as your reality and so your heart (mind) will reproduce actions that cause that outcome because you have made it believe that this is what you want.
Thoughts=Speech=Actions=Results.
But if you believe and say, in all situations, "I can do all things through Christ who strenghtens me", you're using the Scriptures to change your inner self, your heart and mind, and consequently your actions.
Here is an excerpt from a book (The 8 Principles of Goals and S.U.C.C.E.S.S.: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth) that attempts to reinforce and explain this phenomenon with passages taken from the Bible... "...the words that we speak (right now) can come to life in our future when we start to speak words into the spiritual realm and the earthly realm as well... Remember, words are things!...
It says in Job 22:28(a) – Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee. In other words, speak (a word or thing) and what you/I/we speak (words) shall come to life..." You will get what you say.
So deal with your hurts and resentments. Walk away from the failures. Speak about things the way you want them to be, not the way they are. Use God's words, His promises to you, and speak the Scriptures over your problems. Stop them with His words for you.
Mark 11:22-26 - And Jesus replying said to them, "Have faith (trust and confidence) in God. Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain (your problems may be interpreted as mountains), Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! and does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason, I am telling you that whatever you ask for in prayer, believe, trust and be confident that it is granted to you, and you will get it. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go) in order that your Father who is in Heaven may also forgive you your own failings and shortcomings and let them drop. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in Heaven forgive your failings and shortcomings." -- KJV Amplified.
Control your anger --
And if you're prone to uncontrollable outbursts of anger because you're frustrated with your life -- consider the consequences... not only to others, but also to yourself -- your health, your relationships, your job performance. Here are just a few of the negative effects that anger has on your body and in your life.
It's as destructive to your body as smoking and high cholesterol, and if you don't let go of it, if you supress it, it will kill you. It's not worth holding on to. You have more to lose than you have to gain. It will destroy you, body and spirit.
"Understand this my beloved brethren. Let every man be a ready listener, slow to speak, slow to take offense and to get angry. For a man's anger does not promote the righteousness God wishes and requires." ...and we know that God rewards righteousness, so it is something to strive for through Jesus Christ.

So, here is the final point for you to act upon --
From this day forward, listen to God's direction and let Him work through you. Make this the anthem of your life, and with His help, you will succeed --
"I Then Shall Live" -- words by Gloria Gaither
I then shall live as one who's been forgiven I'll walk with joy to know my debts are paid. I know my name is clear before my Father I am His child, and I am not afraid. So greatly pardoned, I'll forgive my brother The Law of Love I gladly will obey.
I then shall live as one who's learned compassion. I've been so loved that I'll risk loving too. I know how fear builds walls instead of bridges I'll dare to see another's point of view. And when relationships demand commitment Then I'll be there to care and follow through.
Your Kingdom come around and through and in me, Your power and glory, let them shine through me. Your hallowed Name, O may I bear with honor And may Your living kingdom come in me. The Bread of Life, O may I share with honor And may You feed a hungry world through me.
This song is available on Bill Gaither's Amazing Grace DVD and CD at Amazon.com.
